Minimalist Monday: Step Away from the Internet


How long do you spend on the Internet each day? I propose a challenge. The next time you want to browse social media sites or waste time watching YouTube videos, you turn off your computer and read one page of a book instead. Or turn off your computer and write one page instead. Or you turn off your computer and go outside for that amount of time.

So often I feel tied to my computer. Partly because it is how I make my money, and partly because I use it to fill up time.

I found that, whenever I turn off my computer, I feel happier. I’ve heard that the worst time to use the computer or T.V. is right before bed. Practice turning your T.V., your computer, and your cell phone at least two hours before bed.
